About

What is the “magic”?

“The magic is as wide as a smile and as narrow as a wink, loud as laughter and quiet as a tear, tall as a tale and deep as emotion. So strong, it can lift the spirit. So gentle, it can touch the heart. It is the magic that begins the happily ever after.”

If there is one word that describes a visit to a Disney theme park, it’s magic. That term in itself is so encompassing it can mean something so big, and yet so specific it can mean something so small. It’s hard to define, yet so easy to know. If you have ever been to a Disney park, you know what this spark of magic feels like. And if you haven’t, then get ready to feel one of the most amazing things in the world.

What is this blog?
Welcome to MaketheMagic.ca, a Disney theme park blog dedicated to picking out our favourite things about the parks that help to make that magic happen. Whether it’s the smell of fresh popcorn as you walk up Main Street, USA, or the incredible special effects of the Yeti on Expedition Everest, we want to dig a little into that and spread it to the internet.

We update the blog twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. It will feature ridethroughs, reviews, travel tips, trip reports, or will have us answering any questions readers might have about the magic. Our blog isn’t here to give away all the secrets behind the magic, we just want to spread that magical feeling.

Think of it as a weekly dose of Disney.

  • Hello,
I have a 19-month old girl who loves Disney movies, and my husband and I would like to plan a trip to Disneyworld in the future. What would be an appropriate age to bring a little girl?
    Thank you!

  • Unfortunately there is no exact answer to this question. It really depends on the child and the parents. Some bring their children when they are only a few months old. Other wait till they are older (5-6) so the child can fully enjoy everything. It’s really comes down to what you personally want out of the trip.
Feel free to ask any more questions. We always love to talk Disney:)
