Everybody’s Got a Laughing Place

After writing Thursday’s blog post entry on Song of the South it seemed to be stuck in my head. So today’s Media Monday will be a clip from the movie featuring one of Uncle Remus’s famous stories as well as a little jingle any Splash Mountain lover will recognize.

Enjoy and have a magical day:)

Interruption in labour output: Droid Sector 2

The Last Tour to Endor at Disneyland has passed, and the Star Tours Final Flight at Walt Disney World is quickly approaching. I figured this short clip I took from queue of the Disney Hollywood Studios would be a small, but fitting, tribute.

R2? Lightspeed to Endor!

Pluto and Goofy are “All in this Together”

Working as a character attendant I got to participate in many amazing Disney character experiences. One of my top 5 days of work included working a Mickey’s Dance Party during the Magic Kingdom’s extra magic hours. I was assigned to Pluto who I found out has some secret stellar dancing skills. Armed with my camera I was able to shoot some fun footage of Pluto and Goofy rocking out to Disney’s High School Musical. Enjoy and dance along:)

Drink up me ‘earties yo ho!

This Media Monday we take a short trip to the Caribbean, and visit a redone Pirates featuring Captain Jack Sparrow.

To the land of fiestas, they’re everywhere you go.

Since I have had this song stuck in my head since Friday from my last post, and because it’s been a while since we dug into the Make the Magic Music Archives, I though I’d spread the ‘infection’ so to speak.

Without futher ado, I present the main theme music from El Rio del Tiempo, a now retired Disney attraction that used to be found in the Mexico Pavilion, Epcot.

Please note: None of the music we post in the blog will be available for redistribution, so don’t ask!

Happy 55th Birthday Disneyland!

I’ll admit I was all set up to post a video I had taken a few years ago in WDW but I just had to post this video I found. Disneyland celebrated it’s 55th anniversary last week with a re-dedication ceremony, a round of Happy Birthday and a flash mob in Town Square. I definetly shed a tear or two while watching this.

55 Characters for 55 years! Happy Birthday Disneyland!

Polly wanna quacker?

Since KP brought up Discovery Island last week, I decided it would be fun to walk down memory lane with a short clip from my own video archive. These clips were taken Winter 90/91 on a family trip. Discovery Island is a place that will live on in my Disney Memories forever, and I do miss it a fair amount.

I do apologize for the poor quality, I saved it from an old VHS tape.

Popcorn Shrimp Anyone?

For this week’s Media Monday I bring you the always clear and understandable Swedish Chef. On today’s menu is popcorn shrimp…well kinda. Enjoy:)

When it Become a Reality

Today on Media Monday, we visit one of my all time favourite Disney World attractions, the Carousel of Progress!

This is just a quick clip, just to give you a taste of the greatness.

Now you’re going to be humming that song alllll day ;-)

Darth Vader Works What His Momma Gave Him!

June is a great month to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is the time when Star Wars and Disney lovers alike join to celebrate during Star Wars Weekends. There are Star Wars celebrities, parades lead by the 501st Division (aka Vader’s Fist) and special merchadise galore.

But by far, the funniest thing to attend is the Hyperspace Hoopla dance off. A yearly challenge where Star Wars characters battle, not with light saber’s, but with the best dance moves.
